Love Meeting Love was originally intended as an instrumental track.
The band's manager, Andy Sodjka suggested it would be a better commercial proposition if it featured a vocal; which Mark King provided.
The original version was relegated to the b-side and renamed Instrumental Love. It was the band's first hit in the British Clubs and ended up on The Early Tapes album.
